A new breed of animal will be stalking Leverhulme Park on Saturday.
It’s big and pink with fluffy ears, and visitors to this year’s Bolton Music Showcase are being ancouraged to shoot it... with a camera.
The pink bag creature is part of a project created by local artist t.r.sims, which will eventually go on show in the lobby of Bolton Art Gallery.
Visitors will be encouraged to take pictures of the creature using their mobile phones, and text them to a special number, from where the photographs will be printed and added to a huge site map.
The artist t.r.sims said: “Sometimes the bag can be very shy so catch it unawares if you can, and make sure you join in the fun — we hope to have as many images of this elusive animal as we can get by the end of the day!”
